Stir together water, Splenda Stevia Sweetener, cocoa powder, and salt in a small saucepan on low. Bring to a simmer, and cook for 1 minute, just until chocolate sauce thickens and coats the back of a
spoon.
Remove chocolate sauce from heat and let cool slightly. Use immediately, or store in the refrigerator and use within 1 week.
Note
Recipe may easily be doubled to have more Homemade Chocolate Sauce on hand.
Adjust sweetener to preference. Consider adding other flavors, like ground cinnamon or a drop of peppermint extract for a different – but still delicious – flavor.
Sauce may crystalize a bit due to the sweetener. Simply warm up the sauce, and it will smooth out. Homemade Chocolate Sauce is of course good on any dessert or in a drink!
